Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri was an Indian actress who has gained fame for her role in the films Hum Aapke Haiin Koun and Beta Saajan. In the 80s the actress began her acting career. She became famous for her role as Tezaab in which she appeared alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. In her next film Dil, Aamir Khan appeared as well. She was born into the Mumbai middle class family and began to dance in her early years. As a young woman began acting, but had a difficult time as a majority of her films were flops. She eventually found success and became one of the most prominent actresses on the Indian film business. After marriage, she experienced a career break before reentering the film industry. Recently, she played an important performance on the film Gulaab Gang. The film featured the challenges faced by women across India. Dixit was nominated 15 times to win Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of them. Padma Shri was awarded to her, which is the fourth-highest civil honour in India. Social work by her is known to the world.
