Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. While growing up, she listened to classical music as well as the old Boleros. She also listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as any form of dramatic performance. Ana started learning how to sing and play music from an early age, along by her mother. The singer received more formal training in singing when she reached the age of 16 old and studied with the world-renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. In her early years as a student and professional, she sang with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. In the years following her relocation in the United States in 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her residence in the southern part of California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and regularly performs as a soloist in classical Latin American music at private occasions. As a teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in many projects in the community because of her passion and love for music. Ana was also a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for having the chance to share her passion and enthusiasm for traditional Latin American songs with others while she hopes to spread the desire, especially among younger generations for keeping this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
